TENRYU Alumi-Cut Saw Blade ALUMI-CUT SERIES

Tenryu's Alumi-Cut series offers a combination of quality and affordability, which equals true value. With thin kerf and precision ground carbide tips, these blades will give you excellent, burr-free results in aluminum, aluminum extrusions, copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals. Also a good choice for hardwoods and harder, more brittle plastics. And the blade you want for cutting laminate flooring (Pergo, etc.) on a table saw or slide miter saw.
Like all Tenryu blades, the Alumi-Cut series features fully hardened and tensioned bodies for quiet and accurate cuts.

Aluminum Cutting Saw Blades - Industrial Series by TENRYU INDUSTRIAL SERIES FOR NON-FERROUS

Tenryu's new Industrial Series for Non-Ferrous is a step up from the Alumi-Cut and designed for use in commercial and industrial applications. With the addition of resin filled laser-cut slots, noise and vibration are noticeably reduced. This equals truer, smoother cuts and less wear and tear on your saw - not to mention your ears! But you don't have to be an industrial user to appreciate the quality, value and precision of these blades. If you like the Alumi-Cut, you'll like this one more.

PRO SERIES FOR ALUMINUM & NON-FERROUS METALS

Tenryu's Pro Series for non-ferrous metals is a step up from the Alumi-Cut and Industrial Series, designed for heavy duty and industrial applications. Think of it as the "Cadillac" to the Alumi-Cut's "Chevy". Heavier plates and laser cut bodies stay flat and truer longer. The carbide is a higher grade, with a finer grain for smoother cuts and extended life. And the final grinding is done with a super-fine 600 grit wheel, something only the world's best saw blade manufacturers do.

PLEASE NOTE: These blades (10" and larger) are designed for use in high-volume operations using automated machines with lubing systems, but can be used in other applications as well.

CORD-FREE SERIES FOR NON-FERROUS METALS

Designed for cutting aluminum, such as sheet material and light extrusions, with a cordless saw. Also handle copper, brass and bronze like their big brothers above. Very thin kerf for less power drain so your battery charge will last longer.

LUBRICATION
It's always a good idea to lubricate when you're cutting any metal. Lubing will dramatically increase the life of the blade and give you cleaner, smoother, quieter cuts. Industrial, high-volume shops usually use an automatic lubing system that sprays a non-petroleum lube - obviously, that's the best method. But if you're not operating at that level, you should still lubricate your blade. What can you use and where can you get it? The most common blade lube for lighter use is a wax stick, such as this one from Rockler: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=2331&filter=wax%20stick Or, if you have a Home Depot near you, they (last I knew) carry a similar stick from Oldham. Another and more high-tech solution is a water-based, bottled spray, like this one also at Rockler.com: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?Offerings_ID=17325&TabSelect=Details In a pinch, you can use a shot of WD-40 sprayed directly on the teeth or on the material.

CLAMPING
It's also a good idea to clamp your work to the fence if you're using a miter saw. You don't want the stock - even light extrusions - to move or shift while you're cutting it. And please don't try to cut more than one piece at a time! I had one customer destroy a brand-new blade doing that, when one piece moved slightly and the impact knocked half the tips right off. He thought he was saving time by cutting three at a time, holding them with one hand. An expensive mistake!
